11 Ford Fiesta, steering rack gone again!

    Is this normal sort of wear? 2011 Fiesta bought 2016, 70k, steering rack went about 12/18mths ago, can't remember exact time but not that long ago! Was replaced with reconditioned one but apparently now needs replacing again.

    Is something else causing this issue, surely that's not normal?

    I think there was a recall with the mondeo 09-11 with steering rack failure. Not sure if it affected the fiesta. It was metal filings in the rack that were never washed out during manufacturing. Did you flush the system before the recon went in?
