Outlook email error

Not sure if this the right place, but my Outlook is reporting a missing or corrupt default email folders - in particular the .pst file. Outlook will not open at all. It is 2007 version. I have tried an online fixer but it only goes to the point of saving and then demands $$$$. Any ideas?
