Ok so I bought a second one yesterday for the Parents. I have a read a good few of the threads on here and I kinda of regret buying it.

I am going to set it up at the weekend. But before I do do any of the Saorview Connect Powerpoint Box veterans who have stuck them out any advice to offer.

I was to reset it back to factory settings and update them. Ill be hardwiring it to the router for broadband. Any tips or tricks to get the most out of this box before I decide cut my losses and flip it on?

    Appreciated folks.

PS (I can nearly here the mutterings of oh FFS another thread on this piece of crap!) :D

It's not that bad, it has a similar interface to Freesat and the updated RTE player. If your parents mostly watch Irish TV it should be grand. It's only when you start to use the sat end of things that it starts to make you weep.

Ok what problems will I potentially encounter on the sat side and is there possible fixes?

All the problems have been mentioned many times in this very long running thread

Even 6 years after the thread started there are still problems with the box.
