I noticed a few cracks in floor of my hall. Should I be worried? I am meant to be putting down floors soon.

What size are the cracks, what type of screed is being used and what type of floor is going on top of it?

    Screed?
    Underfloor heating?
Self build or buying through a developer?

    Any photos?

It's self build. Underfloor heating is been used. I would be putting lamanete flooring on top.

Ok, get n touch with your supervising Engineer to get his opinion of the actual cracks on site.

You do have professional supervision yeah?

It could be traditional sand and cement screed or the more modern liquid "flowing" screeds. Each behave differently in terms of cracking.

Or could be self levelling compund that was put on too thick and is now cracking?

Call your Engineer in to have a look before floors go down.
