    Hi there,

I'm driving my brother's second car at the moment. The NCT expires on it in Jan 2020 but I have booked it in for next week just to get it done well in time. I'm driving under my brother's insurance too, and he still owns the car ; will I encounter any problems with this at the NCT do you think? I'm in the west and he's down south, so I can't do the NCT where he lives, so I booked it in here. He's going to post me up the Vehicle Registration Certificate, so I'll have that and my own driver's license for the test. Do I need anything else do you think? He's heading off to Australia at the end of November, so I'd like to get it sorted properly before he goes.

    Thanks a million lads!

My dad just brought my car for its nct today. . Only thing he needed was the logbook they didn't look for anything else. I don't think they care who brings it once the logbook is there.
    My car passed BTW xD

You’ll have no problems, Logbook and DL is all that’s needed!

I've never been asked for the logbook .
    I do know it's a requirement

My brother is posting the logbook up to me today just in case, so I should be okay with that.

Ya you need the logbook and then Id for the person presenting the car so that is yourself.

I occasionally bring cars belonging to my employer - never had a problem that I can recall.
