Sash window painting

Apologies if this is in the wrong group.

I have recently moved into a new house. There are 4 solid timber sash windows in the house. I would say the windows are relatively new (maybe 15 years, so not period windows). The wood in the windows is in good condition but it is in need of painting/treating . Also a couple of the windows do not stay up so the mechanism is need a service.

Is this something any painter could do or is it something that I would need to get a specialist painter for? The rest of the house needs painting (including quite a bit of wood that is currently varnished). Could 1 painter do all of it?

Yes any painter would do the windows for you, they wont obviously do the servicing you mentioned!
