White marks on dashboard

Anyone have any ideas how to remove the white marks on the dashboard in the pics below?

I think they were caused by a microfibre cloth when I was attempting to dust the dashboard  I thought of all things a microfibre cloth would be safe, not sure what I did wrong.
It was only two lines when I first noticed it a few weeks ago, I think the second group of marks were as a result of me trying to wipe it off with wet cloths.

The marks are only really visible in direct sunlight - they are mostly invisible when its dark or in shadow. Inspecting it really closely it doesn't really look scratched so I'm not sure why it looks as bad as it does.

Car is only about 6 months old :( Any advice really appreciated.

Had you previously used some product on the dash?
Something along the line of "Dash and plastic shine" << just a name I made up but you get what I mean !

If so, I would use a solution of APC in warm water and try wash it off with a damp M cloth.
It looks like some form of proctuct on the dash to me.

Aletrnatively a product I find very good for cleaning interior plastics is Mr. Muscle window cleaner. ( the green spray stuff) and a MF cloth.

No, never used anything on the inside of the car. All I've ever done is wipe down the surfaces with a microfibre cloth, which I'm fairly sure introduced the marks. The cloth was clean and dry as far as I knew. I did try to wash off the marks with a cloth and warm water, it looks perfect when wet but once dry the marks are visible again

I'm nervous of using a microfibre cloth again :S

From those pics it just looks like the reflection of the sun.

If they are marks, go with what vectra suggested. They should wipe off easily enough. Just don't use anything with acetone in it.

    Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it's definitely not just reflections (though it does looks much worse when in direct sunlight)

I'll give the glass cleaner a try at the weekend, thanks

Looks like scratches from anything apart from a micro fiber cloth !! Or a contaminated micro fiber cloth
