Alarm went off without being set !

    House and HKC Alarm about 12 years old. Installer went broke and we have never set the alarm.
    This morinng at 6.00, the alarm went off. We hardly knew what the noise was as we never heard it before. Luckily we knew the simple code number and turned to off.
    We operate a bed & breakfast in our house so an alarm system is not feasible.
    Is there anything I can do to disable the alarm ?

    Hi

    To disable it totally open the panel & disconnect the mains fuse & battery.
    The outside bell may sound at this stage but it should stop after 20-30 minutes.
