Boards.ie ads covering threads. Really annoyed.

Nearly every time I look at boards recently the threads have been covered by ads. This is really annoying. I realise there a workarounds to get past the ads and see threads but this is time consuming.

Us an ad blocker. Takes a few minutes to download and set up.

I have a fix for this!

I presume your using Chrome on a mobile phone as this happens me too.

Click on the three dots on the very top right of the screen to bring up the browser menu.

Click on the checkbox next to "Desktop Site".

Job done!

Or, as others have said, use the touch site by clicking on the link at the very bottom of the page.

Thanks very much for this. Using Chrome on a mobile. Ads covered top part of site most times I looked at it. Suggested solutions seem to have gotten rid of them.

Aren't most new threads these days started by ten post wonders who disappear as quickly as they arrived? The the quality of discussion on the busiest forums has gone to the dogs.

Between August and November 2013 the site seemed to fall off a cliff in terms of viewership, whatever happened then. What that the era of the great hack?
