Painting Tile Roof

Just wondering what peoples opinions are on getting a tiled roof painted?

Is it worth it or just a waste of money?

Recently got the roof cleaned and was told that it would be less likely to get dirty and easier maintained if I painted it.

    You may need PP

For me it's a waste of money.

Why. Because you'll keep having to paint it.

If it's cleaned id leave it as is.

would this be the roof on top of the house or just a lower roof maybe a canopy?

I did the canopy last year and plan to do it every few years, its only a 2hr job from a small step ladder so handy enough but I wouldn't bother with the main roof

Its the main roof. We are in a dormer so I doubt I could do it myself given the pitch.

Good point, does the paint peel or just fade away? If it just fades it mightn't look too bad.
