Moving from Sky Q to Freesat

I currently have Sky Q but want to move to Freesat. I read that the Sky Q LNBs won't work (or maybe sound only), is this true?

I also have old LNBs (10+ years old) from an old Sky dish in another house. Is it possible that these could be used to replace the Sky Q LNBs?

How could I test they actually work prior to installing them as the dish is high up on a 2-storey house and not much fun to get to. Can I check the circuitry with a multimeter somehow? Is it worth my while or are they probably junk?

10 years old junk, forget it. How old is the sky q and can you see how many outlets on lnb? if its 6 its ok for freesat.

if not get either a hybid lnb or a quad lnb, see bay

I believe sky q dish is at a different setting to that of the Freeview as I have both dishes out back. One is facing a different way to the ordinary sky +

Can you post a pic of the dishes? Freeview is an aerial.

Freeview as in UK channels or the sairview as there is a difference

Freeview is UK DTT = aerial. do a pic of the dishes if you can.

Freesat is UK by satellite, all the satellites are at 28east so all dishes point in same direction.

Both dishes should be pointed in the same direction, Sky and Freesat are from the same satellite.

Sorry my bad, I was looking at next door. I've 2 but the lnb is different as one dish was the sky q I had the box from previous address and fitted a new dish just in case I changed over.
Handy as I can run cables to get free view in bedrooms

    Any particular type recommended?
Any particular box recommended too? TV doesn't have DVBS tuner.

If your current LNB has only 2 outputs, get one of these hybrids, 4x Quad outputs and 2x SkyQ wideband outputs - https://www.freetv.ie/sky-q-hybrid-lnb/
