Just heard this on RTÉ news. Irish Water site is down. Anyone know exact areas serviced by Leixlip Water treatment plant? In Naas not sure if I'm in scope. Thanks in advance.

Relieved to be outside affected area.

Apparently the fault, whatever it was, is fixed - the notice is for the water still making its way through the system.

Brother drank tap water yesterday and this morning and hasnt stopped vomitting since. Was this broadcast on the news?

Sister, brother and Dad all caught up in this. No bottled water left anywhere. Anyone know of any provision of clean water for affected areas? An awful lot of kettles working overtime with no other safe supply.

Also, if affected water not being used, surely that leaves dodgy water in the system for longer, potentially festering - is there a mechanism/system to run it off somehow?

Dodgy water is being used. You are boiling it, showering in it, running your dishwasher and washing machine on it and flushing it away in your toilet.

Dodgy water will be gone in a day or two
