Fast charger for phone 3A

I bought a usb charger usb c in a shop about a year ago.
On the box it says intelligent charging,
stabilised charging .
i did not notice the output is 3amps, 5v
is it safe to use on android phones .
my phone charger is rated at 5v 1.5amp, s .
i still have the 1.5 amp charger .

One the box it has a note , optimised for smartphone,s and tablets .

Also the make and model of what charger you bought.
Some phones handle fast charging, some won't.

Sony experia l android ,about 14 month,s old.
it says 15w charger usb c .
maplin electronics is on the box.
