    If I am running a small business from home, am I potentially liable to CGT if I sell my house

    If you are claiming some expenses such as office rent or mortgage as a business expense, do renovations or building extension and again claim this as business expense then yes.

    even things like heating/lighting/power consumption for office equipment will be an issue.
    You really need to think long and hard about it
