Question on fork maintenance

    Hi
I have a question on fork maintenance. Besides a bike wash and cleaning your forks is there any regular (after each ride or every second ride) general maintenance I should be doing on the forks?
For example is there some kind of lubricant that should be applied?
    Cheers

Silicon or PTFE spray after each wash. Spray on the stanchions and seals, watch for overspray on brake rotors. Spray on, then pump the fork a few times and wipe off the dirt that comes from the seals. Before each ride spray some on a cloth and rub on stanchions too, let dry before the ride, don't use loads.

Make sure it's silicon or PTFE so it doesn't rot the seals.

I normally put a small bit of fork oil on the stanchions with a small syringe, and compress them a few times then wipe clean, usually lifts a bit of gunk from the wiper seals
