Eir sports app not working

Hi all, is anyone having problems with the eir sports app. Since its changed 2 eir TV on my phone.
It won't let me log in, keep getting error 213 code, I've tried reinstalling the app, but still the same problem

Still working for me, it's the only thing keeping me with eir so if they cut for mobile only customers am off....probably to Gomo (sister company I know).

No the app is black, now. and its eir tv not eir sports.

Mmmm just receives an email asking me to migrate to the new black app. It took a fair bit of work via the eir boards people to get the red app working when it first came out and that customer service channel is no longer there...

The black app started working for me yesterday, now its telling me, this is protected content, this stream can not be played back as your divice is not compatible. but it was compatible yesterday

I was in touch with Eir, this is there reply
some android device may not provide sufficient content encryption. Those devices will not be able to stream content.
And android 8 is incompatible.

Such sh1te i got the same yesterday , they said they are working on a fix but can give no time frame , also anyone able to cast to TV without Chromecast mine never seemed to load on the tv

I was told this evening that Android 8 or 9 (my phone is 9) won't work, needs android 10nor apple 11+!!!

Worked OK for me. Android 9 cast to TV via Chromecast. But I have long given up using laptops to try and use the website to watch it, as it kept thinking it was a different device every time, so used up all the device slots. The issue I have now is Broadband and 2 phones on one bill, but still only 2 slots.

I have been trying to use Eir Sport app on laptop for the last week with no success - every time I attempt to login get an error saying incorrect email or password. Friend's account works on my laptop and phone so issue is clearly with the account - not the device.
Have rung Eir Technical support 5 times and got 5 different stories. Was supposed to get call back twice and never got one.
Manager refused to talk to me and told the agent to tell me that as 'the app is broken and we can't fix it, there's no point in me talking to you'.
Agent told me the app only works some times and for some people. They have no clue what's wrong with it and no idea when it will be fixed. As they see the app as an extra they appear to believe they don't have to fix it for you, or tell you when it might be fixed.
Customer service at its best!

What do I need for a login?

My father has Eir subscription but my number is registered with them so they are sending me texts stating he is entitled to eir sports via the app.

Can I log in on my device with his credentials?

You just use his MyEir login details, if he's set it up.

Just installed on android tv and working a treat.

That's the rugby sorted this season..

So am using the black eir sport app, works on my Note 9 but when I try to get it on the TV via DEX (using a cable) it now brings up some error meesafe are DRM Security?

Never had a problem before.....anyone else?
