Aliexpress items - Subject to customs?

    I haven't ordered from AliExpress in years, but I'm looking at some items that will amount to approx €150 inc delivery.

    Do AliExpress ship from within Europe, or is it direct from China and so subject to customs?

    I recall there was a site I used a few years ago that was similar, but let you select to post from Netherlands.

    Items come from Asia in my experience so they will be subject to customs unless you make a number of separate orders.

    Any single order over €22 is subject to 23%vat plus an An Post inspection fee of around €7.50. Revenue have stepped up their checks lately. Could you break the order up?

    I *think* it's possible to order via Amazon for a slightly higher price and delivery fee of £8 so that would prob be best as it would avoid customs.

    Each item would be valued approx €50 if I ordered each separately.
