    Hi,

I have moved into a new-build and I want to be able to view and record TV in two different rooms (ie two different media boxes). On the wall outside there is a VM-branded box which has two coax cables and one cat5 cable inside (see VM1/2.jpg attached). In each of the rooms then there are blank faceplates with two coax and one cat5 behind them (see Internal.jpg). So, my question is, is this wiring compatible with having boxes from any provider in each room (eg a Sky dish connecting up to the cables in the external VM box) or would the internal wiring have to be changed in some way if I wanted to get multi-room recording with someone other than VM ? I don't care about external wiring but I dont want to have to be replacing internal cabling.

    Thanks,

    Zozo
