I have an elderly relative who needs to get most of his home covered in anti-slip vinyl or rubber flooring.

Anyone done any similar work or who might be able to recommend types or suppliers (in Athlone, Roscommon area) of such flooring?

Thanks in advance for your help

I don't know why you'd do that, but i'd seriously re-think it. Carpet would be a better bet.

Failing that, you could get anti-fatigue mats (https://www.halfords.ie/workshop-tools/garage-equipment/garage-essentials/rolson-6-piece-floor-mat-set-120-x-180cm) that would be relatively inexpensive, can buy a small amount and see what you think before investing further, and they're warm underfoot.

There's an excellent flooring fitter that covers Athlone/Roscommon, called Brendan Nestor, Nestor Flooring. He might be able to give you some good advice. His number is 087 6680792.

Ceramic tiles will have a 'R' rating in reference to their slip resistance. Might be worth looking into that as an option.
