I have a 3yr old HP Pavillion, it won't charge. The charger is working (measured 19v with a multimeter). Think I need a PC repair centre, I'm based in Dublin 6w, anyone know of where would offer a good service ? haven't a clue where to go ?

Go into device manager and go down to the battery section , right click on both options that pop up and uninstall the drivers then reboot the laptop , when t reboots the laptop will reinstall the drivers see if it works then...

Thanks for reply but my son was on it and it died, I think he ran the computer battery down, he said there were no blue screens or anything unsual. SO I can't do any diagnostic or testing.

Try it without the battery, just plugged in and also booting up

    Tried that but nothing.

Also tried to hold the power button down for a min and then plugging in and nothing.

Sounds like an internal fuse or safety device is gone if there's such a thing, but I'm reluctant to open it up.
