Attic Insulation and PIV Unit

We are looking to upgrade our attic insulation which hasn't been done in about 20 years. It needs to be topped up to the 300mm. Our concerns are regarding potential health risks of rolled attic insulation. We have a PIV Unit in our hallway that is situated in our attic and draws in fresh air and distributes it via a filter into the main part of the house. Does anybody have any advice on the safest insulation to use? An eco friendly one perhaps
