Making the rounds at the minute ...
Marvel Cinematic Universe star Jeremy Renner allegedly "put a gun in his mouth and threatened to kill himself", according to court documents filed by his ex-wife.
The 48-year-old actor is alleged to have threatened suicide during a drink and drug-fuelled rage, while he's also been accused of firing a gun into the ceiling while his six-year-old daughter was asleep in her room.
According to legal papers lodged in Los Angeles by his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, the "Avengers: Endgame" star also spoke about killing the actress and model.

Is that him f***ed now? :pac:

So a Marvel creator is turning into DC's Joker now?

A lot of allegedly in that statement.

Marvel-ites were inconsolable when Iron Man make-believe died, don't think they would handle Hawkeye not ever returning for a prequel/flashback scene.

Did he just realize that Hawk-eye was a second rate character ?

That's just legal speak. Lawyers will rarely commit to a certain statement unless the person has admitted/confessed or been convicted.

Killing off Iron Man was the death of Marvel right there and then.

Maybe it's all true, maybe none of it is, it's probably somewhere between the two. For everyone's sake, especially Renners and his daughters, I hope none of it is. If it is true, he's in a very bad place and needs urgent help and to be removed from the family until he gets it. Those aren't the actions of a well person.

Maybe he finally got around to reading the reviews of The Bourne Legacy.

Indeed. With any relationship breakdown, including accusations of abuse of whatever nature from whichever partner, a very good rule of thumb is to consider it a drama of three voices; her side, his side, the truth. And like you say the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

If it is true, he's in a very bad place and needs urgent help and to be removed from the family until he gets it. Those aren't the actions of a well person.
+1 And on the rare occasions I've known where that above rule of thumb wasn't in play one of the partners was not a mentally well person. Though even there it wasn't 100% on one side.

Stuff like this is scary. Look what happened to Phil Hartman. Poor guy. :(

    Yes, I'm aware of that.

But, you know, a lot of - as far as I can tell - uncorroborated statements from one party, before a, by the sounds of it, bitter divorce and custody hearing - I think people should be aware of that, before they reckon the guy is 100% guilty.

Not going to jump on the bandwagon especially after the Jonny Depp stuff.

But I will say Hawkeye was an awful, awful character.

Weirdly though, a lot of people who defend Johnny Depp (fair enough) seem eager to believe Depp’s counterclaims that Amber Heard was abusive towards him and they are uncorroborated too.

I'd reckon there was a pair of them in it.

3 of them if you read the gossip sites . Him and his male "roommate" and then the wife/surrogate. So basically she can say what she wants and unless he wants all revealed then he can't fight back. If true you'd wonder why they bother, is there any need for that in this day and age?

Jeremy Renner seems like a decent bloke, that Johny Depp though.

His ex wife is taking a legal action and the allegations are hers. Lawyers will represent any position once they're getting paid.

For now these are untested, unproven allegations.

When you say "if that's true it really makes no sense," then you can assume it's not true.
