I'm looking to hopefully organize a fundraiser to raise money for a cancer/leukaemia charity by hopefully running a marathon I'm looking to give myself six months to prepare for it I was just wondering would it be to soon to advertise to my friends and family that I'm looking for donations or what's the best approach? Thanks

It all sounds quite vague at the moment. Maybe firm up on some details (e.g., which marathon exactly?) before you approach anyone

Sorry I haven't decided yet I've never ran a marathon before so if I gave myself six months to prepare by following a plan I'd consider the most feasible one that was on around that time.
