    1. I’m hoping to extend my property into my back garden and potentially build a new house on the land. Can I connect to my existing supply pipes?

    If you are building an extension, you may be able to connect to the existing connection on your premise. However, if you are building a new home which requires planning permission, you will have to apply for a new connection to the mains.

    I recommend that you apply for a Pre-Connection Enquiry and our engineers will be able to look into this directly for you.

    2. I’m still waiting on my connection to be completed. What can I do?

    If you have applied, and paid in full, for your new connection offer and are wondering when the works will take place, please confirm the following and we can follow up:
    - Your name;
    - Full address;
    - Application Reference number; and
    - Contact number

    3. There was an outage at my property yesterday and water is still off at my apartment. What do I do?

    If you are experiencing a supply disruption, the first thing we recommend is to check our website to see if we have a notice of the works affecting your area.

    If you live in an apartment, we recommend you contact your building management company as the cause of the supply disruption might be an internal problem. The building manager can then contact us if their investigation finds the cause to be from the public water mains.

    4. I want to extend my property, but there Is a manhole within the boundary. Is there a permit needed to extend the house?

    Any queries in relation to planning and licences should be directed to your local Planning Department. If you require a Way Leave Agreement, this should be contained within the relevant documents when purchasing a home

    5. I want to move the manhole on my property, which the county council says is private property. What do I do?

    If you wish to move the private wastewater pipe and manhole cover to facilitate this extension, you can get in contact with our New Connections Team by submitting a Pre-connection Enquiry form with any questions you may have on our website here.
