    Hi all

I'm planning on proposing to my other half in the very near future. So part of the night will be out for dinner before I move on to the main event!

So looking for recommendations on restaurants in the city.

I would prefer something in the areas between Dawson St/Stephen's Green/George's St/Temple Bar....that kinda square. It's convenient for what I've planned after.

    European/Italian/Irish cuisine preferred.

    Any suggestions most welcome

    I'd recomment The Westbury Hotel

I mean The Greenhouse is the fanciest thing around there, and it's very good, but she might be tipped off by the sheer level of fanciness!

Also: Pichet, Le Geueleton, Fade Street Social, and San Lorenzo's

    Trocadero has plenty of charm.
Not overly fancy, but still special.

Bring her down to the Waxie Dargle on Dorset Street ? if she did say no at least you haven't blown a full months wages on some grub..

PS only joking. Best of luck bud.

Thanks guys for the recommendations. Plenty to go on there.

What's Crow St restaurant like? Like the look of it but not sure of it's too casual. Maybe it's not!

Also don't think I want somewhere too fussy and formal.
I'll be worrying enough about the engagement never mind trying to behave in a fine dining establishment :-)

Would The Bank on College Green appeal to you?

One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin.

    ¡arriba, arriba! ¡andale, andale!

Does she like fish, if so I'd recommend Rosa Madre on Crow St. And I'm sure if you let Luca know in advance he'd sort out something special.

    It's a fabulous Italian restaurant.

That new place aimsir in Lyons estate looks on another planet, saw a documentary on it on rte, another level to anything else here. But there would be a waiting time and it’s fifteen km or so from city centre.
