    Hi All,

I've recently purcghased a 70s bungalow that will require quite a bit of work. I'm planning on building an external plant room to house water softener and oil burner (the boiler has recently been replaced so will relocate).

The plant room will be approx 8 metres from the existing house and I wonder about how much other services I can get in there. Can one move things like hot water cylinder, UFH manifolds etc out?

    Thanks!

youd have a highly inefficient system resultant from bringing your HWC and heating manifold outside your house

Is that because of the extra travel and having to insulate pipes and such?

Water treatment and boiler in plant room so?

    Thanks both!
