Rust appearing on my dish & stand

Hi guys. I am in the Blackrock area. I have just began noticing this problem of rust peeling off my satellite dish within the last few days. A large chunk of the metal lining on the outside of the dish started to peel off the bottom of the dish on it's left hand side sometime between Tuesday & Wednesday. I have had this dish on the side of the house for nearly 7 years. I got the dish installed on the property with an aerial after the DSO in 2012.

It was installed by a TV installer from Rathmines.

I had a look at it again today. There is another bit of metal that is just starting to peel off from the bottom of the dish onto it's right hand side. The stand & poles that holds up the dish & aerial for Saorview is also getting a lot of rust on them. The aerial itself is not suffering from rust at all. It seems fine when I checked it during the week. The dish is pointed towards a SE direction from the house. My aerial is pointed towards Three Rock for Saorview. Would the rust in my case would be considered as a risk of fire damage on the house if I do not get it replaced soon? Could anyone here give me an likely recommending of replacing satellite dishes on the house.

Also would the cost of the replacement install not be more expensive to do this time round? I paid €290 for it after the DSO was in 2012.

I have no pics to show of the problem at the moment; but any advice you can give me on this so far would be great. Thanks.

Rust is not a fire risk. Smear Vaseline over all the rusty bits and any other exposed bits like the nuts and bolts and then it won't get any worse.

Use sandpaper to clean the surface after peeling off any rust debris.Paint clean surface with metal primer.Clean all nuts and bolts and brush on metal primer. Aerials made of aluminium do not rust.Only to be done in dry weather.
