    I got a BComm degree (2.2) from NUIG in late 1990s.

    How do I know what level it is?

    I saw this on Citizens Advice;
    Universities: The State-supported universities all award their own degrees and other awards. University students qualify with Ordinary Bachelors degrees (NFQ Level 7) or Honours Bachelors degrees (NFQ Level 8). Universities also offer Masters (NFQ Level 9) and Doctoral (NFQ Level 10) postgraduate degrees.

    Is the Ordinary v Honours determined by your result?

    It's a level 8. Have one from the 2000's
    Ordinary would be a pass 40-54% so would be level 7

    40-54% in a level 8 is still a level 8 degree. 40-54% in a level 7 degree is still a level 7 degree. See @tell me how's chart.

    The result does not determine the level.

    @OP, ring the reegistrars office in NUIG. My guess is they will tell you it was a level 8 degree.
