Recommend a VPN Service..Please

    Hi All,

    Looking for recommendations on a VPN service for my router (Asus ac66u)

    Something that wont effect performance etc

    I work for a company that makes VPN routers (InvizBox). The primary bottleneck in most consumer routers for VPN is the CPU because shuttling packets around doesn't need much CPU power, but encrypting for VPN does. Yours has a 600Mhz MIPS processor so it's going to be slow. I'd say it'll max out at around 15-20Mbps but probably less.

    Despite all the ad integrations just using a VPN doesn't really add any security or privacy. It just moves the problem.

    You have HTTPS already. Pretty much every site you visit uses it and its totally secure from eavesdroppers. Even met.ie. Don't really need more. Boards is about* as eavesdropping proof as your bank is.
