Where there is stagnation, interconnectedness cannot thrive.

It’s not that big a deal, the circle part is naff but whatever.

This comes up on Boards all the time. Would probably annoy me more in person but I’ve heard low level managers, real kind sorts use it and just seemed kinda endearing,

Is this going to be rolled out on a go-forward basis?

Only if it results in a quick win.

You heard this on an advert mocking corp speak...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,908 ✭✭✭Captain_Crash

In the interest of best practice sharing, it would be of benefit the corporate synergies to move ahead with the circle back

    We need to manage expectations.

This is going to be a game changer but we need to pivot on the pain points and take it offline to align on the deliverables.

I think we should allocate our scrum master, to get a better understanding of the cadence of this particular project, before we invest more resources into a sinking ship

Sounds like Gus from Drop the Dead Donkey.

George, can we pool our brainspaces in a center of excellence?"

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

My favorite is using military terms to make sure we feel important... debrief.. regroup.. good Jesus.

Take offline, we aren't online, we are in a meeting.
Action that, you mean do that.
Cascade to the teams, instead of tell.

    Seriously FML.

What exactly is blue sky thinking?
You are behind the times it is all about red ocean and blue ocean strategy...

I started a new job about a month ago...I have a spreadsheet with over 100 abbreviations translated so I can try and understand in plain language what everything is...it's like some people are speaking in code.

    For example
"Do you have the RTM for the BRD?"
    "No have you tried AP356?"

This place is a bit w1a....to say the least

Where I work we have so many abbreviations and jargon it's incredible. Only that I'm here so long, otherwise wouldn't have a clue what everyone is saying.

    Same with my company.

On almost every conference call i have to ask "what team is that"?

"can you contact OAC and make sure the deliver the POC to the SJR":confused:

We should put more bodies on this OP.

Compartmentalise the throughput to meet deliverables. There's simply too much noise.

This should be a tier 1 thread.

We should escalate. Can you touch base with a mod?

For now, let's kick to touch.

    Postmodern bollockspeak.

Twats babbling invented corporate Double Dutch to each other, makes me sick. Bring back plain speaking.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,275 ✭✭✭Your Face

I'll cascade this down to my team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,380 ✭✭✭893bet

The only thing more annoying than these phrases are these weekly threads about them.
