Dpf filter and damaged engine

    Hi guys! I have Vauxhall Astra 1,7 2012.
    Month ago I got dpf filter cleaned and my mechanic put it back. 3 days after car begin to lose power and shake, and day after it is turning on but don't have enough power to start. Mechanic first cleaned egr valve, then change injectors and finally told me that problem is in engine and need to be changed. Is there any possibility that engine is damaged as a result of not programmed or remapped dpf filter. Thank you!

    It’s quite possible that the mechanic has mis-diagnosed the fault multiple times, and thrown DPF and EGR cleaning and 4 injectors at it, now is out of guesses?

    Was the DPF cleaned or gutted?

    If you clean the filter you don't remap the car (As far as I'm aware) as it's just being cleaned and put back in, so not sure what you're getting at there.

    If it was removed altogether, that's a different story.
