Browse donedeal, what can anyone tell you here more than that for cars in the 5k bracket. It's up to you to buy what meets your needs and within your budget.

Just wondering compared to the last 5 / 10 years is the market in good supply

I remember reading when we were 5 + years into the recession that there wasn’t good value and supply.

So 5 + years into a boom how does that compare ?

Some over-site perhaps if any from anyone

5 years ago you didn't get many cheap new tax cars for 5k, the ones on the older tax system were cheaper. The new tax system is now 11 years old so there are are way more options out there within the 5k range.

However if your after a particular model then you need to research current values so that you have a good idea of what they worth now as it makes no difference what they sold for 5 years ago.

Sales, were low in 2008 to 2013 due to recession and that's where you will be shipping for a 5k budget.
Everything pre 2008 on old tax is now well sub 5k so I'd say supply of good cars isn't the highest its ever been for 5k but there's still literally thousands out there and you shouldn't have any problem finding a good car.

Everything from an a6 or 5 series or e class all the way to a supermini and everything in between can be found in those years 08 to 13 for 5k. Some well minded gems with loads of life left and some absolute dogs that will break your heart so spend a few quid getting a mechanic working for you to check anything out.

Accord was never a big seller here though so won't be many around.
