    Hi

Just wondering the pro's and cons of this and if anyone has done similar?

I'm cooking a leg of lamb and thought I'd put a stew in at the same time.
    - This is thanks to the which stout for stew thread!!!

The lamb will be middle shelf to upper so the stew will be on the bottom shelf.
I was going to do it on a low heat anyway, so wondered if this would work?

I'd usually cook it on the hob in a cast iron pot, but to get it to fit in the oven I'll have to put it in a pyrex dish.

    Probly over thinking things.

    I can't see a problem with it - it's definitely something I would do :)

As long as you are looking for a low and slow cooked leg of lamb as opposed to a rare leg of lamb, it's a great energy saving idea.
