Picking out a hardened snot that's pressing on nerve endings enough to make you aware of its existence is one of life's simplest pleasures.

Albeit, one you wouldn't admit in polite company.

I think it's because we snore more when drunk.

Popping a spot gives that instant but brief pleasure. Clearing a Snot gives less instant pleasure but playing with it between your fingers lasts much longer.

Exactly. The string snot is the gift that keeps giving. Well for a second or two anyway

That’s different, it’s a competitive “game”. One I’m still not able to get back into due to the thought of, shall we say, “scented” coins.

Both pale in significance when set against a sustained & hugely satisfying scratch of the hole.

One of lifes cruel tricks though, that it invariably begins to itch like hell in the middle of the street, in the middle of the day.
