Viewing a Planning Permission

Was in my local County Council Office last week, wanted to view a neighbours planning application as I wanted to make sure it didnt interfere with my property. They gave me a copy of the map free of charge and I signed a page to say I received it. However I am worried now, does that form go back to the applicants when they get their planning, as I'd rather them not knowing I looked at their application.

The form does not go back to the applicants. The form is held on file (but not usually on the planning file).
