Driveway and Garden design

We have a standard front garden in a semi-D house. I want to make the front garden as "functional" as possible but am struggling with keeping it looking good. It could so easily become a junk yard.
So I would like to store the following:
    1) Car
    2) 3 Bins
    3) Bike Shed
    4) Enclosed trailer for water sports.

Any ideas on designing the garden so it doesn't look horrendous. Are there any professionals that deal with this. When we did our house up our architect had no interest and my brother is a garden designer and again no interest?
    Any help appreciated!
