Get the part, and find an indy to fit it.

I had the same issue, and an indy in cork got a spurious module and fitted it.

I had issues with that module once when water got into it after washing the car with a power hose. The angel eyes on one side stopped working. I assume water got into it. Once the module dried out the problem was gone.

You could remove the module yourself, dry it out and seal it a bit better.

That looks very much a diy fit.

It’s easy enough to get to. Just need to remove the wheel arch liner and it’s held in with two bolts.

From reading up on it its easy enough to fit as @Harcrid said and its plug & play so no coding needed.

So far all the lights are still fully functional. NCT due in Jan 2020 but I usually get the 3 month early test so just want this sorted, thanks lads..

they're notorious for going on the f10 especially in the pre-lci.
I had to replace headlight and module for nct last year and my other one just went so need to replace the module now for it.
First one was more expensive as I had lost the cap for the light and never copped it hence water got in and corroded it. Other headlight was fine so just the drivers side.
And Joe Duffy...what a robbin bastard.

A writeup on what's required to replace it. I'm not looking forward to that..

Easy peasy. I bought a pattern part copy of eBay for €120 and fitted in a few mins. That was 2 years ago and no problem since.

Can it be fitted without taking the bumper off? Where did you get your part?

You fit it through the access panel in the wheel arch - the same one you use to change a bulb.

I bought it off eBay but the exact one is no longer available when I go to it - but a search on eBay for BMW F10 headlight driver module yields plenty of results.

    €184 for the module

They are on the longmile road.

They do many bmw parts esp air suspension.

    Or Amazon for £40
