Grand Picasso failed Adblue pump

I have a 16 grand picasso 1.6 bluehdi at 60k kms 6 month outs of warranty.

Day before I booked it for a service, it started to produce heavy white smoke from exhaust then a risk of clogging the particle filter error in dash afterwards.

Engine was warm and I was on motorway when this happened. I drove it at 3k rpm for 7-8 minutes then amount of white smoke went down and error in dash has gone away.

When I arrived at home I noticed that there is still white smoke coming out of exhaust and that was concerning. Next day I had it towed to main dealer and today their assessment has arrived as failed urea/adblue pump and NoX sensor. They are not %100 though until they replace those.

Do you think this could be the issue causing white smoke cloud ?

That’s their diagnosis method, throw parts at it.

    Not 100% until they replace?

    Bring it somewhere else perhaps?

Thats my concern to be honest on the other hand they most likely read an error code pointing those parts. My other concern is that white smoke in exhaust generally means water goes to exhaust and evoporates there. A non working pump and sensor doesn’t give that.

I gave them go ahead anyway. I already started to miss my petrol bangernomics.

I probably will find somewhere else if those parts doesn’t fix the issue:D

I have a Kia with a similar issue & my mechanic hasn't been able to sort it out, have been to him twice, did you get your Picasso sorted out ?

Hopefully yes. Adblue pump and NoX sensor changed and no more white smoke there. Explanation was that adblue pump stucked open hence the broken sensor snd white smoke due to excessive amount of adblue.
