    Hi all,

I'm switching my mortgage and would like to hear any recommendations for solicitors in Celbridge/Maynooth to handle the switch please.

Switching Fees quoted, not sure who to go with as I know the cheapest does not always offer the best service:confused:

    Celbridge:
    Coonan Morgan Solicitors - €1500
    James V Tighe & Company - €1300
    Gill Allen solicitors - €750

    Maynooth:
    Hegartys Solicitors - €950

    Thanks in advance:D

    €1049,
let me know who you go with.
I was thinking of doing this every year depending on who has the best offers. could knock a few years of the term, especially with cash back.

Yeah... we used them when selling/buying 2 years ago... they were cheap and fine but caused a lot of delays IMO, while blaming the other parties of delaying.

To be honest, I'd say the same for the 4 other solicitors in N.Kildare that I/family members have had to deal with buying homes.

Unfortunately this basically seems to be common not matter where you go. If you left it up to solicitors without riding them for updates, questions and pushing things along, the process would probably take twice as long.

I phoned them daily in the end, I figured if I annoyed them enough they would get it done to get rid of me.

I used Cusack Solicitors when buying a house in Maynooth. They're based in Dublin but sometimes operate from Hegartys in Maynooth iirc.

I used Hegartys with no problems but it was 2012 and a *lot* quieter business wise

Hegartys were described as "The worst people she ever had to deal with in her career" by my solicitor. Extremely rude and very unprofessional. This was within last 18 months. Friends within the last year very similar experience.

We used Powderly solicitors in Maynooth, between Tesco and main Street. It was a very complicated sale but they handled it brilliantly. Can highly recommend them.

We went with Hegartys despite above comments as were the cheapest and doing a straight forward switch.

Were the cheapest and had no issues from them.
