Recommend a red wine

Please recommend me a quality smooth red wine €20-€30 range. Ideally available in O’Briens or a supermarket. No need to pair to food

From O'Briens, I think any of their American red blends, Pinot Noirs, Syrahs or Merlots would be worth a punt in that price bracket.

Supermarkets are hit and miss in that price bracket, you'd be better off in an independent off licence I think and look for the above grapes or red from Burgundy.

Those earlier Rioja suggestions reminded me of this wine, which is a silky smooth Rioja.
Think you can get it in most supermarkets and Centras.

I assumed smooth meant not too acidic or tannin heavy... but those two italians lookv nice.
