I'm starting the process of building up a new bike. I'm considering a bianchi xr4 disc frameset. I love this frame however I don't race and am just wondering would I find the geometry for endurance/sportive /gran Fondo etc just too aggressive and uncomfortable.any advice?

Have Oltre XR4, just built this year. Incredible bike, fast, fast and .. fast. As for an around bike though I think a Specialissima is the bike you should get. Have one too and its everything! Super light, incredibly responsive, best handling I've ever experienced and fast bike too but much more of an alrounder. Stick a set of light climbing wheels on ( eg Mavic R- Sys) and you can climb high alps all day or put set of carbon mid section - 40mm and itll handle all terrain.

Another with an oltre xr4 just built this year. Love it. Wasn't expecting a big jump from the bikes I have but was surprised. Find it very comfortable, handles really well too. I wouldn't say it's overly aggressive either, but be sure before you buy one. How aggressive you will find it will depend on your own flexibility, what you are currently on and what size you are looking at.

I got the Oltre xr4 last October and absolutely love it. I had a Giant Defy 1 before so quite a change! It took me a while to get used to the different geometry but now it’s completely fine. Did the Wicklow 100 on it and no problems. It’s a beautiful bike.

I have an Oltre 4, love it. Brother had one also but found it to harsh & he switched to the Infinito CV & loves it. Less aggressive geometry & a slightly more forgiving ride.

Another XR4 fan here. Great bike. I’m not a fan of the celeste color though.
