Unfortunately we seem to have lost all passports of cattle during a recent house clean up. Is it hard to get replacements for these and will the department be really suspicious .

They will be ok when it's genuine . Best to ring them up or better again call in to them.
Recently, I had to apply for passports for cattle that I bought, the seller didn't tell me he couldn't find them until the cattle were in my name. There was no issue at all, i spoke to a lovely lady who sorted everything for me.

Thanks lads, I was stressing about the department's reaction to losing the whole lot, I will ring them tomorrow.

Are you sure they're gone? I think it would be unlikely that someone would throw out a bundle of blue cards. If you're like me you'll find them the day the replacement ones arrive!

I remember our vet taking the cards after a test.
They never came back and he insisted he had returned them. Was a bloody torture on my parents getting them reissued, I remember the hassle in the house.

Feckin Vet found the cards few years later where they had fallen down the back of his fridge, he thought it was quite funny.

Ya it was a department vet that did our last test and he insists he doesnt have them so I'm guessing we threw them out even though I thought o was very careful about what I got rid of.
