want to return item on ebay

    Hi
    bought a pair of trainers on ebay from a uk seller.
    They're my size but when i tried them on they're a bit uncomfortable as they're too small.
    the seller 'doesn't accept returns'

    what are my options now?
    I thought one of the golden rules of online purchasing was the option to return an item at your own expense for a refund?

    Did the seller message you saying that they do not accept returns?

    You should proceed to open a returns case. You will be asked for a reason for filing the return, say they are not as described because they are too small. The seller will have to cover the cost of the return.

    I opened a dispute through PayPal. Hopefully it works

    It should work in a very similar way. I believe they contact the seller to let them know there is a dispute opened against them. If the seller doesn't resolve it, then PayPal will take the next steps. Either way, you will get a full refund.
