I was just looking at flight prices out of Belfast for a short break (2 nights)over Halloween, for 2 adults.
There are well priced flights to Berlin but I was wondering would it be a good destination for a short break of only 2 nights.

Is it an easy city to get around with a centralised location to get a feel for the place.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Berlin gets my vote too beautiful city with loads to do even if your not into history been there twice myself

Underground train is easy to use and goes nearly everywhere

Totally recommend going at xmas for their markets too so many of them dotted around the city 1-2 huge markets and the rest a nice size.

Berlin is one of my favourite cities, and not just in Europe. Great food, tonnes to do for everyone and just a great feel around the city. I've probably been 6 times or so, and I'd go again in a heartbeat. Transport is very easy and quick, and you can cover a lot on foot too if the weather suits.

+1 from me also. Not long back from my third visit and I'd go again tomorrow given the opportunity

TV Tower should definitely be on your list. Fast track tickets are prebookable. Beer & Boulette deal gets you fast track and a reserved table in the bar.

Blue Man Group tickets are currently 2 for 1 if you fancy a show with a difference.

Free walking tours are available or find what you want to see yourself and head off. Public transport is exceptional but it's a very walkable city.

Off to Berlin on Sunday evening for a 2 day conference, I’ve never been before so can’t wait.

I Went for 3 full days earlier this month,
Ryan air over, walked to railway station all under cover from airport, (it was lashing) S9 train to Ostbahnhof, 3min walk to hotel, wasn't much around the hotel, all in midst of re-development, But got the yellow and purple hop on/off bus to see where things were, Curry wurst is everywhere, O.H wasn't a fan :D, but for a little more detail, do a walking tour as mentioned, You wont be homesick, McD's is there and a big Primark in Alexanderplatz .

Great city. If staying for 4 days at any stage, a day trip to Dresden (2 hours on the train) is well worth it.

Thanks a million for the replies and advice. It is much appreciated. I might get booking this evening. Since the flight is from Belfast it will be good to go before Oct 31st I think.

Oh yeah, forgot to say, our hotel had the shower in the middle of the room, like a "beam me up Scotty tube" out of startrek, nice clear glass too, tv to the front, shower to the right... quite common in Germany, I heard, ;)

I ran the Berlin marathon over there last year and was my first time in the city. Found it a brilliant place. So much history with loads of things to do. Great food and beer :)
