Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

It looks like the end for little Benny boy 😥

Our goldfish looks (we have just 1 fish) like he's seriously ill at the bottom of our tank. Tank is big enough for a filter.. Etc. We moved place on Saturday. So I moved him into his old bowl for the journey. The journey was kinda bumpy but he seemed fine. We got to the new place and he all of a sudden looked like he was having a panic attack. Looked like severe bladder disease. He was off balance.. Etc.

So I quickly filled up his big tank, placed liquids into it to kill the chlorine.. Etc. I made sure the water was roughly room temperature by adding in a little hot water.

I moved him back into his big tank within 20 minutes of his seizures. Still, he had severe bladder issues and couldn't swim properly. I got some bladder medicine from the petshop that night, which didn't do anything.

It's now Monday evening and he remains curled up at the bottom. Breathing every now and again. Sometimes he moves place.

Another bit of info, we have observed over recent weeks that he swims towards the surface quiet frequently. But it never seemed serious. Maybe he had bladder disease and we didn't know it? Then the move made him panic and the disease got worse?

I changed 1/3 of the water once a month along with the filters. He was fed daily, a tiny amount.

It looks like the end for our 8 month old first fishy. What is the best way to send him to fishy heaven?

Go to the chemist. Get some clove oil. Get a small container & fill with some of his tank water. The smaller the container the better. Add a few drops of the clove oil to this & mix around. Pop him into it & his end will be swift & painless.
