Just wanted to update anyone who’s waiting on a decision for invalidity pension. I got a letter today saying I’ve been awarded it. I first applied early November last year, got turned down in early March I think, and lodged an appeal and a review straight away. Hope the info helps anyone who’s going through the long wait :)

I feel guilty regarding how easily my transition to I.P went when I see the struggles many have with appeals and delays.

I was on I.B for @ 17months up to May of this year.
Had a medical review with the Dept and shortly afterwards received an I.B2 form.
Basically sign and return, no further medical detail or information needed and I was moved to I.P in late June.

It did almost make me think I was sicker than I was being told given the ease of the transition ;)
