Brexit and effect on Bank!

    I am wondering if my savings are going to be effected after Brexit?
    I checked with AIB they have guarantee for 100k only.

    I am thinking to put extras above 100k in different banks just to be on the safe side.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Brexit will have no direct effect on the safety of bank deposits.

    100k will continue to be guaranteed regardless of Brexit.

    Yes it's a good idea to spread deposits over 100k to other banks.

    Is 100k guaranteed per account per person?

    We have a joint account and wonder if guarantee is for 200k in our case?

    Yes for a joint account it's 100k per person.
