I was curious today what my first post was, all the way back on January 14th 2008 in the "Bands and Musicians Community" forum, I replied to a thread started by user fionnisfun
Hi. Just wondering where you're based?

Exciting stuff! Seems I first joined to try find some people to play guitar with.

Why did you join, what was your first post?

Got a Springer Spaniel and already he's driving me nuts. A friend gave him to me due to his family moving away outside the country.

He's about 2 years old - he's seriously over-hyper. It's impossible to get him to stay still and I've yet to see his tail stop moving. He just doesn't listen, regardless of my tone, and would rather play and jump on you.

I own 2 other dogs now, and others a good few years back - and none were hyper like this boy I've been left with, so I somewhat lack experience for this HYPER [and I do mean hyper - moment I take him off the leash he'd just be running around the garden none-stop for the next few hours <_<; ]. Even bringing him on long walks he'd still be full of energy at the end of it.

Would anyone mind giving me some tips on how to calm this dog down and sort his behaviour?

    Woof

I have absolutely no idea what my first post was but probably in F&F forum

Just checked. My first post was
The isles of Greece! the isles of Greece
Where burning Sappho loved and sung,
Where grew the arts of war and peace,
Where Delos rose, and Phoebus sprung!
    Eternal summer gilds them yet,
But all, except their sun, is set.

We learned that in school, its probably still on the syllabus. But I think I was trolling the politics forum, where people were suggesting we copy Greece in trying to replicate their economic policies.

Makes sense, because my username comes from a line in the same poem (by Lord Byron) - "That Tyrant Was named Miltiades!"

    Great poem in all fairness.

    hi all
ive a few beef calves but am having trouble dosing via injection on my own.
ive read that pour ons are expensive and i was getting 1/2 btls of fluke dose from a relative as neither of us would use a full one within the shelf life. would i be safer goin for pour on (fluke and lice) or are injection guns cheap enough to warrant getting one. i have a crush and do intend slowly building up the 'herd' . where can i buy an injection gun?

I've been here for a long long while. Back when boards.ie started we'd have to post punch cards to each other and compile the code for the messages.

I remember sitting around for an entire summer waiting for the postman only to find out the only response I got was a "like" to a witty comment.

The fact that your first post was well over 4 years ago didn't stop me reporting it for trolling.

This was my very first post on Boards - 18/10/2006. I was at the time a contributor to Radiowave's forums. I think I heard someone mention Boards, probably on the radio. I know it was mentioned on Radiowaves. Initially, I was only interested in Board's radio forum.

I wish the very best of luck to all at Phantom. I'm looking forward to radio with an edge and a more discerning choice of music. I'm sure sometimes that I will find it a bit too challenging for my delicate ears (I have a pretty electic taste in music - sometimes mainstream)! But, I trust I will never be able to label it as bland.

This should put it up to 2FM and TodayFM, especially during their evening and late night schedules.

Actually SNME was taped before RAW last Monday at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, the full results are all over the various wrestling sites.

Irony in many ways my 10,000th post is quoting my very first some 12 1/2 years ago. Still love pro wrestling too

Dunno. I tried to look it up but could only search for posts containing my first username. The earliest I found was from 2003 which had been replaced with a mod calling me, without being too specific, a mentally handicapped lower primate because I'd linked to abandonware.
