Im a mature student and last year in college I worked every weekend. I'm no longer in that job but I have thought about maybe working evenings somewhere mon-fri to allow having weekends off to spend more time with family. Just wondering is there anyone who does this and how manageable is it for you? My timetable is very light only 2-3 classes somedays and 1 class other days. I use the spare hours during the week to study and work on assignments but after 5 or 6 pm Im done for the day and wouldnt mind an evening shift type job. Im studying in DCU and from the West.

I did this when I was in college. I found my course very easy (computer science) so if you're in a similar boat you'll be fine.

I did a masters while I was working full-time and that was also grand.

It really depends on you though. Do you actually have the time for it?
