I bought a Lidl charger only to discover that it won't charge a flat, below 7.5 volts battery. Are all these "intelligent" chargers the same or are there some that will charge flat batteries ?

A battery that drops below 10 volts is pretty much gone. You can connect another 12v battery in parallel to kick the charger into charging the dead battery but to be honest the battery will not hold a sufficient charge. Only old school chargers will attempt to charge a dead battery

I’m genuinely curious to know what you get out of talking to yourself. How does that console you? In your head you have created a clone of your loved one, a clone that’s a lie because it only represents what you rememeber. Is it to connect with them on some level?

I don't talk to myself though, but talk to my dead ones , mostly it's if a memory comes up,a familiar smell,or something on TV etc , whatever triggers the mind, also when visiting our family grave I get solace ,a lot of it obviously stems from guilt ie why didn't I spend more time with you ? etc,I like to remember happy times with my departed loved ones, and still am able to laugh at some of the craic we got up to ,here, and abroad ( large family-mostly buddies aswell - and 4 of my bros and a sister died within 6 years, but can honestly say we got on vvv well- minus a few digging matches as teens,)

Really ? So if someone left their lights on, enough to drop the battery to say 5 volts, it's then wrecked ?

I can think of countless times a battery has been totally flat but recovers even from a jump start

Yeh...it's flat but probably still has 11-12v in it.

I'm confused? Just get a new battery n all will be good.
